Katherine Falwell, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Founder / CEO

Clinical PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Falwell received her bachelor’s and masters’ degrees from the University of North Carolina, her doctorate in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University, and a postgraduate degree in applied behavior analysis from George Mason University. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute. Dr. Falwell then completed her postdoctoral residency at the University of Florida and later joined the university faculty in 2006. Her focus shifted to the greater pediatric needs of the North Florida community in 2008. Dr. Falwell’s mission is to improve the lives of the families with whom she works. Truly embracing the notion that “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child” she seeks to work with all members of the village involved in supporting a family. She utilizes a variety of techniques to improve functioning and strengthen family relations. Treatment modalities, such as cognitive behavior therapy, systems therapy, and solution-focused therapy, are used to help clients cope with a variety of challenges. She also works with couples seeking to strengthen their relationships, recognizing that a couple is the foundation of the family unit. Dr. Falwell’s clinical interests include child and adolescent development, parenting, family therapy, and educational advocacy. Her professional work includes teaching psychology at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels. Dr. Falwell is an approved therapist in the Gottman Network and has completed Level 1 in The Gottman Couples Counseling Method. She is a qualified supervisor in the State of Florida for mental health counseling interns. Dr. Falwell spends her free time enjoying all that coastal living offers with her husband and three young children. 

Meghan Ambrose, M.S., Psy.D.

Director of Clinical Services. Mental Health

Dr. Meghan Ambrose, Psy.D., is a dedicated and experienced licensed psychologist specializing in comprehensive psychological services for children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in School Psychology from National University, later completing her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) at California Southern University. Dr. Ambrose brings a strong academic foundation and over a decade of clinical and educational experience to her work at Mandala Wellness.

Dr. Ambrose provides a wide range of services tailored to meet the emotional, behavioral, academic, and psychological needs of individuals across the lifespan. Her areas of expertise include psychoeducational and psychological evaluations, individual and family therapy, parent consultation, and school collaboration and advocacy. She is highly skilled in conducting comprehensive assessments related to intelligence, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, memory, personality functioning, emotional and behavioral concerns, academic achievement, and giftedness.

In addition to her assessment work, Dr. Ambrose has a strong clinical focus on supporting adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, stress, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. She utilizes evidence-based interventions within a collaborative, strengths-based framework that emphasizes insight, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.

Known for her compassionate and approachable style, Dr. Ambrose works to create a supportive environment where clients and families feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to achieve lasting change. Whether helping a child succeed academically, guiding parents through complex behavioral concerns, or supporting adults in improving emotional wellness, she is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care.

Vicky Holland, M.A., BCBA

DIRECTOR OF ABA SERVICES

Vicky received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology and criminology from Florida State University, where she was inducted into the academic honor society, Alpha Phi Sigma. Vicky earned her master’s degree in psychology with a concentration in abnormal psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and is a qualified supervisor for BACB candidates. Vicky began working with individuals with special needs and phobias through swim lessons. Her professional experience includes coaching physical fitness in low-income elementary and middle schools, teaching swim lessons to all ages, and providing behavioral therapy services for pediatric clients. Vicky’s specialties in the field of ABA include: early intervention, parent training, teaching skill acquisition of replacement behaviors, and maladaptive behavior reduction. Vicky currently provides ABA services in the clinic, home, community, and school settings to children and their families. In her free time, Vicky loves being with her family and having fun outdoors.

Erin Tyson, M.Ed, LMHC

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Erin is a licensed mental health counselor and brings diverse experience to Mandala Wellness. She earned her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of North Florida and her master’s degree in clinical mental health from the College of William & Mary. She also has a bachelor’s degree in English education from Florida State University and her professional experience includes over a decade as a middle and high school educator and mentor for new teachers. Erin’s experience in education provides valuable insight when working with children, adolescents, and families.

Erin has also worked extensively with veterans and military families through adventure-based counseling and retreats. Erin believes in a holistic approach to mental health and has a passion for working with clients to navigate challenges and improve overall wellbeing through various therapeutic approaches, such as acceptance and commitment, strengths-based, and motivational interviewing. Erin also enjoys working with couples and is a trained Gottman Leader in The Gottman Method. In her free time, Erin values spending time in nature, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with loved ones.

Garrett Moore, B.S.

DIRECTOR OF IT & COMPLIANCE

Garrett earned his bachelor’s degree with a concentration in information technology from the University of North Florida. Since his time at the university, his passion for technology has grown, and he is committed to continuing his education through various certifications. At Mandala, Garrett applies his expertise to ensure HIPAA compliance across all digital platforms. He also builds and customizes workstations to meet staff specifications, enhancing efficiency in data collection, report writing, and the integration of technology with scientific processes. Outside of work, Garrett enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with his dogs, and working on new computer projects.

Erica Whitehouse

Director of People and Culture

Erica is a dedicated professional with over two decades of combined experience in special education and mental health. She began her career as a special education teacher before transitioning into the mental health field, where she continues to integrate both disciplines in her work.
In addition to her clinical practice, Erica has conducted independent research on the therapeutic use of massage, focusing on its benefits for individuals with special needs and for clients healing from trauma. She is a registered behavior technician with extensive experience supporting children with behavioral and neurological disorders, and her background spans job coaching, mentoring, tutoring, family therapy, and behavior analysis.

As a Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) instructor, Erica provides crisis-management and de-escalation training to both staff and parents. She also teaches classes on stress reduction, meditation, and photography. A Certified First Play Therapist, she supports early childhood and infant mental health through nurturing, developmentally supportive touch.

Erica also brings valuable HR experience in her role as the Director of People and Culture and has been a committed part of the Mandala team for more than a decade. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their puppy, Zigmund, shark-tooth hunting, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Melissa Osbon, OTR/L

Program Director

Melissa received her degree in occupational therapy from the University of Louisiana, Monroe. She began her career in inpatient rehabilitation at St. Vincent’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas, where she specialized in brain injuries and joined the hospital’s Multidisciplinary Acquired Brain Injury Program. In 1998, she became a traveling occupational therapist and discovered her passion for working with the pediatric population.  Melissa has practiced in several diverse settings across the country, including home-based therapy, early intervention, school therapy, and outpatient rehabilitation therapy. She has extensive training and experience in areas of sensory integration, neurodevelopment, autism, visual motor, and handwriting skills.  With over two decades in pediatric therapy, she has found that evidence based sensory integrative strategies improve the clients’ positive interaction in the world around them, create a mind and body ready for learning, and assist with achievement of gross motor and fine motor milestones. She loves working with children and assisting parents and teachers with development of client-specific sensory diets to improve sleep quality, picky eating, and overall ability to self-regulate and participate in family and school activities. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, reading, gardening, and traveling.

Sophia Bryant, B.S.

Billing & CREDENTIAL MANAGER

Sophia earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida State University and has been a medical biller for over 18 years. She grew up in the small town of O’Brien, FL, where she currently enjoys the peace and quiet of country living with her son and two dogs. As an avid football fan, Sophia is passionate about both watching and attending football games with her family. Fishing, hunting, and reading are her other favorite pastimes. Additionally, she serves as the church secretary where her father is the Pastor.

Sierra Sternberg, B.S.

Client Care Coordinator

Sierra graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Health Promotion. While in college, she began an internship which introduced her to field of Applied Behavioral Analysis and since then has been a practicing RBT. She has over a decade of experience working directly with children and their families in the home, community, school, and clinical setting. Sierra is currently actively perusing a certificate in Business Administration. In Sierra’s spare time, she enjoys spending time traveling and enjoying the outdoors with her family.

Alex Hahn M.S., BCBA

Clinical Supervisor

Alex received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and her Master’s Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida, and is currently seeking her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis through the University of West Florida. Over the past three years, Alex has worked with pediatric clients aged 2-13 with varying diagnosis including autism, ODD, and AHDH. Alex’s passion is working with learners who communicate in different ways, such as vocal language, American Sign Language, and Augmented communication devices. Alex currently provides ABA services to clients in the clinic, school, and home setting. In her free time, Alex loves being active and spending time outdoors.

LEAH PUTNAL, M.A.

REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH INTERN

Leah holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and her bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families, incorporating creativity and art into therapy. Leah emphasizes the therapeutic alliance and family involvement, using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Her clinical experience includes working with at-risk adolescents and substance misuse counseling. Upon request, Leah offers faith-based counseling for individuals who wish to integrate Christian beliefs into their therapy. Leah has also completed training in therapeutic martial arts. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors.

Madelyn Moore, M.A., BCBA

Clinical Supervisor

Madelyn Moore, M.A., BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Mandala Wellness with a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis and hands-on clinical experience. Prior to earning her BCBA credential, Madelyn spent three years working as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing direct services to children across a range of developmental needs.

Madelyn holds current CPR and CPI certifications and is a Certified Potty Training Consultant. Her clinical interests span early intervention through adolescence, with a focus on building functional skills, promoting independence, and supporting families through individualized, evidence-based care. She is known for her thoughtful, client-centered approach and commitment to implementing treatment plans with consistency and compassion.

Outside of her professional role, Madelyn enjoys reading and spending time with her three dachshunds.

Rachel Schatzberg, M.S., Ph.D. Candidate

Therapist

Rachel Schatzberg brings more than 20 years of experience supporting children and families in both educational and clinical settings. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, where she taught for 15 years and built a strong foundation in child development and learning. She then served as a developmental therapist for infants and toddlers for six years, helping young children and their families thrive during the most critical stages of growth.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development, a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University, where her research explores attorneys’ understanding of memory and expert testimony in child abuse cases.

At Mandala Wellness, Rachel integrates her background in education, developmental therapy, and clinical psychology to provide compassionate, evidence-based care. She is dedicated to fostering resilience, empowering families, and helping children reach their fullest potential in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Amber Smith M.A., BCBA

Clinical Supervisor

Amber holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Florida and a Master of Arts degree from the Florida Institute of Technology focusing on Behavior Analysis. She discovered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis through her experience in caregiving of children in natural environments, where she developed a passion for helping children build meaningful and helpful skills. Amber is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) specializing in behavioral feeding interventions. She has several years of experience supporting children ranging from 3 to 21 years of age and with varying exceptionalities and is continuing to further her education in feeding approaches that best support her kiddos. Amber has experience providing services across multiple environments with a focus on promoting independence in functional communication, mealtime behaviors/routines, and daily living skills. She utilizes evidence-based, individualized approaches to support children and families in building functional and meaningful outcomes across environments. During her free time, Amber enjoys traveling across the country in her jeep. 

Selma Vail, M.A., BCBA

Clinical Supervisor

Selma holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. She became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst in 2025, and has four years of experience supporting children and adolescents within the mental health field across a range of diagnoses and support needs. Through her work in mental health services, Selma developed a strong interest in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and transitioned into providing ABA-based intervention to children ages 3 to 16. She currently delivers services across clinic, home, and community settings, with an emphasis on individualized programming that promotes meaningful skill development and independence. Selma values a naturalistic, play-based approach to teaching. Her clinical interests include expanding functional communication, strengthening hygiene and daily living skills, and building social and adaptive life skills that improve overall quality of life for the client and family. 

Missi Vollmer, M.S., BCBA

Clinical Supervisor

Missi Vollmer is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who joined Mandala Wellness over a year ago. She brings extensive experience supporting children and adolescents ages 2–20 across home, clinic, and school settings. Missi has worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including youth in foster care, and has supported clients with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, PTSD, conduct disorder, and other co-occurring needs.

Missi specializes in developing social skills and strengthening self-regulation, with a focus on practical, meaningful strategies that improve daily functioning and overall quality of life. Her background in both education and applied behavior analysis allows her to collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.

She earned her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2020. Missi also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama, where she was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. Prior to working in behavior analysis, she taught in elementary education, which continues to inform her structured, compassionate approach to learning and behavior support.

In her free time, Missi enjoys spending time with her family and reading a good book.

PETER CARMICHAEL

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION - THE MANDALA SCHOOL

Peter Carmichael is the Director of Education and a 6th-grade teacher at the Mandala School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with a minor in Leadership from the University of Florida. With a diverse background in teaching and mentoring, Peter is passionate about helping students explore the fascinating—and sometimes challenging—world around them.

Dedicated to creating a personalized and engaging learning environment, Peter encourages curiosity and supports each student’s unique path. In his dual role as educator and administrator, he fosters a culture of inquiry, growth, and active learning.

Peter is especially excited to guide students through the next chapter of their academic journey, empowering them to reach their full potential and become active contributors to their communities—all while having fun along the way.

Pam LIVELY

Curriculum & Instruction

Pam brings 18 years of experience teaching in both public and private school settings. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education and has devoted her entire career to working with exceptional students. Pam has taught self-contained and inclusion classrooms in grades K–6 within the public school system.

She holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (K–6) and Exceptional Student Education (K–12), with endorsements in Reading, ESOL, Autism, and Gifted Education. In addition, she has completed Clinical Educator training and has mentored teacher interns from multiple universities.

Pam is also a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, specializing in the application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support academic instruction, functional living skills, and behavior management. Her passion lies in helping students grow through assessment-driven, systematic instruction that leads to meaningful progress.
