Strengthening connection, one conversation at a time

At Mandala Wellness, our couples therapy services support partners in building stronger, healthier relationships through open communication, emotional connection, and mutual understanding. Whether you’re navigating conflict, life transitions, or simply seeking to deepen your bond, our experienced therapists provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore challenges and rediscover connection. We work with couples of all backgrounds in the Northeast Florida area, to foster lasting growth, trust, and intimacy.

We utilize the highly-researched and evidence-based Gottman Method when working with couples. The goals of Gottman Method are to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship. Couples who enter into couples therapy at Mandala Wellness begin with an assessment process that then informs the therapeutic framework and intervention.

Rooted in the Sound Relationship House, your specially-trained therapist will work with you and your partner to strengthen your relationship, starting from the foundation. Establishing trust and commitment are essential elements of this approach, but you will also work to rebuild connection through friendship, share fondness and admiration, turn towards your partner instead of away, and manage conflict without contempt. Ultimately, couples will learn to see their relationship, even moments of conflict, from a positive perspective and create shared meaning together.

Some issues addressed through couples therapy include:

  • Frequent conflict and arguments
  • Poor communication
  • Distance and resentment
  • Lack of intimacy
  • Infidelity
  • Finances
  • Parenting
